So we've talked in previous episodes about how Salesforce is using AI to transform the front end of the user interface and the experience of users marketing, sales, and service. Also, how the growth of prompt templates and actions, either standard or custom for agent force, are inevitable to grow in number and size and scope. But then also I hinted at and want to explore in this episode how AI will transform the back end of Salesforce.
A couple of ways that I keep my own skills up to date is that I teach Salesforce live, and especially in the AI Specialist Certification exam prep course, which we are going to be holding a new course for that soon. But that does give me the occasion to get on the platform and learn new things. We've also started doing implementations for other companies as well, and that's through our parent company, Velza. And so there's a lot of requirements gathering and looking at real-world applications. So I'm not just doing training but also doing the work as well on the platform and getting exposure to AI and real-world use cases.
It's quite exciting to put this together, and in those journeys, through preparing statements of work and scoping out and solutions and things on the platform and preparing for live classes and certification training for others, I'm starting to run across new features on the platform and generative AI in unexpected places.
One example of where AI is starting to appear on the back end of Salesforce is wherever formulas are created. There's now an Einstein assistant that will help you with generating formulas for things such as validation rules.
